Koden in Society

Koden realizes and fulfills not only its social responsibility as a firm but also its roles and responsibility on “technology.”

Support for Yacht Racing and Adventure Sailing

Koden has provided marine electronics devices and other effective supports to various marine events, including global yacht races such as the “VELUX 5 OCEANS” round-the-world single-hand yacht race as well as a variety of adventure voyages.

Support for Archeological Excavation and Research Works

Koden has provided both personnel and GPR (underground detector) to support various academic excavation and research works to find buried objects in the ground at Archaeological Sites, achieving significant results. This includes research on the Great Pyramid at Giza, Valley of the Kings in Egypt, and Kitora tomb in Japan.
Furthermore, Koden’s scientific-research-purpose scanning sonar and its engineers were active in the seabed research around Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, Japan as well as the research for the remains of Mongolian warships that were sunk at the time of the Mongol invasions of western Japan in large typhoons in both 1274 and 1281.
